One of the only major Marvel characters that hasn’t been replaced even temporarily by a new character and has probably gone through more changes than any other hero. My theory? That “Marc Spector”, Moon Knight is actually Khonshu, the Egyptian deity that Moon Knight originally strove to serve.
Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man
The Road to 300. A comic book milestone is just around the corner. Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man will release it’s 300th issue in February.
Deadpool Team Up (Who is worthy to be annoyed by the Merc with a Mouth?)
With the Disney/21st Century Fox merger close to being a done deal, I started to imagine all the team ups that could happen between characters.
The one that kept popping into my mind was Deadpool.
Spider-Man: The Dan Slott Years
Rumors have been circulating that long time Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott will soon be ending his almost ten year run on Amazing Spider-Man. While Slott has been denying the rumor for awhile, the March 2018 solicit for Amazing Spider-Man #797 states that “Dan Slott has saved his most harrowing Spider-Man story for last…” and even the title of the story arc seems to play at the writer’s departure, named “Go Down Swinging”.
Marvel and DC Comics Happy Holidays
With the holidays almost upon us, I thought this would be a good time to take a look back at some of Marvel and DC Comics many classic superhero holiday tales.
Brian Michael Bendis: The Marvel Years
This past week the BIG news hit the internet: long time and prolific Marvel Comics writer Brian Michael Bendis announced his upcoming departure from Marvel Comics when he signed a contract with rival DC Comics.
When you think about the man and his career, he has influenced much of what Marvel has done in the last 2 decades.
Peter David (Legend of Comics)
This week we get the honor of talking to Peter David, who has written many classic characters and stories in comics and novels.
I figured I could talk about just a few of the man’s many comic book writingaccomplishments here before the interview.
Marvel Legacy (How Marvel Can Become Number One In The Hearts Of Fans Again)
This month, Marvel starts the process of returning many of their classic characters and elements back into their comics.
While many have debated if perhaps the trend of introducing new characters in the guises of original heroes is the main factor in slumping sales, Marvel has promised Legacy will bring back many classic elements (and issue numbering) while still satisfying the fans of the new generation of characters.
Hawkeye (Kelly Thompson's "Real" Hero)
Kate Bishop, the newest version of Hawkeye is probably the only hero who I wouldn't mind replacing her predecessor.
Why? How does Kelly Thompson do it?
The Inhumans (Family Business)
While not a big budget movie, Inhumans certainly looked the part, filmed in IMAX.
Many of the characters and plot points that fans thought would hurt this series are actually strengths. WARNING: Spoilers Ahead!!!
